Wine and specialties

The Valtenesi area is famous for the production of oil and wine, thanks to its favorable climate.

The most typical and characteristic element is the extra virgin olive oil, well known for its lightness and delicacy, the oil pairs well with fish from lake cuisine, as well as traditional peasant meat dishes and polenta. Upper Garda presents the unusual spectacle of lemon gardens, or lemon groves. Nowhere else in the world do similar "greenhouses" exist, allowing this valuable cultivation.
