The municipal coat features a wine vat, known locally as a “Soi” or “Soia”, reflecting the village’s status as one of the most fertile areas for high-quality wines in the Garda Riviera. In Soiano and hinterland there are, indeed, important producers of oil and wine of the Valtenesi area.
The typical dish of the area, that can be found in all restaurants’ menu, is the classic “spiedo bresciano”. Its origins are ancient: it was traditionally prepared by the local peasant families seeking a way to cook large quantities of meat for festivals and village celebrations.
